Sarah Elizabeth, the Etiquette Princess, thinks she knows it all and would like to share her 5 “Little New Year Tips to Being Polite.”

• Smile when you meet someone.
• When someone gives you a birthday gift always say, “thank you.”
• Say “excuse me,” when you get down from the table.
• At the dinner table taste a little of all the food. Sarah calls it a “thank you” bite.
• Don’t pick your nose at the table, it’s disgusting!
